About Me & Memor

‘A piece of jewellery is often a piece of art. But it only becomes valuable when emotions are added to it.’

Hi! I'm Rachel

It all started over dinner, a musing, an idea, something I didn’t think I could do, until I only went and did it. 2019, Memor Jewellery came to life from my kitchen table and I became an independent jeweller.

It all started with me as a child magpie staring at all the beautiful pieces of jewellery in the shop windows. The love grew with one the first pieces of jewellery I was given by my grandad which I still have, wear and cherish today; a 9ct yellow gold identity bracelet. My fascination became my career, starting as a Saturday job in a jewellers and evolving into me becoming a silversmith.

The excitement you feel when you have found the most perfect gift for someone you love, or for yourself. That electric buzz of pure happiness, and perhaps relief that you have hit the jackpot in gift giving. The anticipation of getting to see that person's face when you give them the gift you have found. The joy of giving, that moment, that memory you make, that's what I am all about.

I love that jewellery will last a lifetime, and can transform into something new whilst retaining its original memory. All of my jewellery is from recycled silver, I do this because each piece of silver retains its original level of quality and with it a smaller environmental footprint. It’s about being people kind and planet kind.

I do it because I know that buying jewellery is special. It isn't something you do everyday and being able to be a part of creating a moment, and a memory for someone else brings me happiness.

Also can not forget this little guy Monty, he is my side kick and keeps me sane. He hangs out with me all day whether I'm making the jewellery working on the website or going to post orders!
